Sara is a Jan daughter out of a tank of a Thoroughbred mare named Scarlett. Sara is actually the breeding work of Kadan Farms. We all held out breaths in anticipation before she was born and she did not disappoint! Sara was born a gentle giant. There has never been anything small about this mare.
We had big plans of a performance career for this mare. As a filly, she just had the most incredible movement. She had these long legs and this massive frame.
Our dreams of conquering the world and leaping small buildings in a single bound came crashing to a halt when Sara suffered a puncture wond through her stifle. Once we got over the disappointment of the loss of her riding career, we began to get excited about the possibility of her breeding career. Sara is the perfect Jan daughter to cross back to our Andalusian, Mateo. We all held our breaths in anticipation of that foal, and again, Sara did not disappoint. Sara gave us amazing quality in her colt and as much as we loved him, she loved him more! Sara is an excellent mother. Check out her colt on our foals page. We will be doing this cross again.
